President of the Republic of Korea, Lee Jae Myung, was born on December 22, 1964. He holds a bachelor's degree in law, Chungang University, South Korea. Mr. Lee Jae Myung passed in 1986 and completed his training at the Institute of Judicial Research and Training (18th course) in 1989. In 1989, he established the Law Office, and began practicing law. In 1989, he was a member of the International Solidarity Committee for a Democratic Society. From 1990 to 1994, he was the Director of the Incheon Labor Consultation Center, the Director of the Gwangju Labor Consultation Center. From 1994 to 2005, he held the position of Executive Director of the Seongnam People's Solidarity Organization, Director of the Seongnam Anti-Corruption Reporting Center.

From 2010 to 2018, he was the Mayor of Seongnam City (5th and 6th terms by direct election). From 2018 to 2021, he was the Governor of Gyeonggi Province (7th term by direct election). In the period 2022-2025, he was a member of the 21st and 22nd National Assembly (Gyeyang-eul District, Incheon). He held the position of Chairman of the Democratic Party from 2022 to 2025. From 2025 to the present, Mr. Lee Jae Myung is the President of the Republic of Korea.
