Cooler Master Group wants to invest in a $3 billion project in Vietnam

Cooler Master Group (Taiwan), Taiwan's leading manufacturer of electronic components, has invested about $200 million in Bac Ninh province and is planning to increase its total investment capital in Vietnam to about $3 billion.

It is known that Cooler Master Group was established in 1992, specializing in the production of computer components, headquartered in Taiwan (China) and this enterprise was granted an investment certificate for the first time in Gia Binh Industrial Park, Vietnam in 2023.

At the meeting, a representative of Cooler Master Group said that the unit plans to expand investment in Gia Binh 1 industrial park, increase the scale of investment and plan to expand about 100 hectares. The project location is about 6 km from Gia Binh airport. This expansion aims to increase production capacity and attract more partners to stabilize the supply chain.

In addition to the industrial park, Cooler Master also plans to build housing for experts and workers, and at the same time invest in the field of talent training. With the above plan, the company expects a total investment of up to 3 billion USD, which can create job opportunities for about 40,000 employees by 2029.

Previously, the group established Cooler Master Co., Ltd. to build a 10-hectare factory in Gia Binh 1 industrial park. This factory specializes in the production of heat dissipation modules for artificial intelligence (AI) servers, air conditioning cabinets, etc. Phase 1 of the project has been in production since July 2025, attracting nearly 1,300 workers and is expected to need 5,000 more this year.

At the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Hoang Son suggested Capella Land Group Joint Stock Company, the investment unit to develop the infrastructure of Gia Binh 1 industrial park, to discuss with Cooler Master to have a reasonable rental and land purchase price.

Mr. Son also suggested that the group soon deploy dormitories for employees and have a detailed plan for each investment stage. The Provincial Industrial Park Management Board is assigned to be the focal point to support and create favorable conditions for enterprises to implement the project.

In addition, Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee Pham Hoang Son added that the locality is facing many development opportunities, especially when it has formed an ecosystem in the field of chips, semiconductor technology and high-tech industries.

In terms of infrastructure, Bac Ninh is coordinating with the Central Government to invest in Gia Binh International Airport with a scale of 4F, 5-star standards and the orientation to become one of the top 10 airports in the world. The first phase of the airport is expected to be operational by the end of 2027.

After merging with Bac Giang, Bac Ninh province is considered a "super industrial province" with the 5th largest economy in the country. Last year, the province attracted a total of over 13 billion USD of domestic and foreign capital, of which FDI exceeded 5 billion USD. In recent years, Bac Ninh has been among the suburban markets that have developed many real estate segments such as housing, urban areas, and industrial parks.
